Certifications
Dedicated to superior service & quality
We have chosen the following certifications partially based on customer and industry requirements, but also reputable accreditations that we believe in and want to lead the way with. All certifications attribute something to our sustainability journey as they provide opportunities to continually improve, to protect the environment, and offer a level of confirmation of our excellent standards to our customers.
Race has joined onto the Ocee International certificates, obtaining ISO14001:2015 Environmental Management, ISO9001:2015 Quality management and FSC® Chain of Custody in 2019.

FSC®
Forest Stewardship Council® has a mission to improve global forest management. In the worldwide fight against deforestation, FSC has developed 10 principles focusing on legal compliance, labour standards, indigenous people’s rights, community relations, environmental benefits, and values, planning and monitoring and conservation efforts.
As a furniture manufacturer, we understand the importance of sustainable forestry. All timber used in products complies with the UK and EU Timber Regulations to ensure no illegal logging involvement. We don’t want to just stop there, though, which is why we have obtained the FSC certification, to ensure that we are contributing to global sustainable forest management and active biodiversity replanting schemes.

ISO 14001
The international standard for environmental management, ISO 14001, was launched in 1996 by The International Organization for Standardization (ISO). ISO is a cooperation between 153 national institutes of standards and is the world’s leading environmental management standard. The standard was last updated in 2004.
With a certified ISO 14001 environmental management system, the company can document that its processes, activities, and qualifications focus on minimising the external environmental impacts.
The standard therefore requires/demands that the company commits itself to:
- Conforming with environmental legislations
- Preventing pollution
- Constantly improving their environmental actions
The standard hereafter describes the elements in a management system which will enable the company to meet these obligations:
- Environmental policies
- Planning
- Implementation and operation
- Control and corrective actions
- Managerial audit

ISO 9001
With a certified ISO 9001 quality management system, we can document that our development, production, and freight activities focus on ensuring the highest customer satisfaction. With the requirements of the standard, we are obliged to work towards the highest level of our customers’ expectations and requirements from the first development process is initiated to the final product is delivered. We are motivated to address risks and opportunities for improvements, and we are determined to act on these. We are constantly surveying our customers satisfaction and trends on the marked, to ensure that we align with these, and that we are in the forefront with new trends and requests to our furniture. Every year we evaluate our quality policy and set new objectives for improvements in production and delivery.
