Our people our the lifeblood of our business, and we want you to get to know them as well as we do! For the first in our ‘Meet the team’ series, we meet one of the newest members of our team, Steve Earnshaw, our Business Development Manager.

How long have you worked for Race Furniture? And what is your role?
7 months and I’m a Business Development Manager. I look after existing customers and their projects while also scouting new business for the company.

Can you tell us a bit about your career path?
I have been involved in Public area seating for 18 years with 3 of the major seating companies (4 including Race)

What is the best advice you’ve ever received?
A/ Don’t eat the yellow snow – (very sensible Steve!)
B/ Enjoy life, and remember don’t count the days, make the days count.

What do you love most about what you do?
Every day is different, I enjoy building rapport with people and providing great outcomes and solutions.

What do you love most about working for Race?
Interaction with colleagues, freedom to influence the progress of the company and our products.

Tell us a surprising or a fun fact about you.
I travelled the world with the Royal Navy, and I own a Banjo manufactured in 1886

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
Family time, holidays, listening to and playing music, a pint of Guinness.
